MagStand Fold – Foldable Magnetic Desktop Stand

A pocket-sized magnetic stand machined from aluminium: snaps your phone into a stable viewing angle, rotates a full 360°, and folds to 9 mm so it lives in the bag rather than on the desk.

The MagStand Fold exists because most phone stands are either too heavy to carry or too light to trust. This one is cut from a single piece of anodised aluminium with a hidden hinge that holds its angle under the weight of a large phone, then folds down to 9 mm — thinner than the phone it is carrying — and weighs 118 grams, which is less than the cable you would otherwise pack.

Magnetically, it uses a full-strength alignment ring that seats the phone audibly and holds it through taps, swipes and the occasional desk nudge. The contact face is a soft silicone ring rather than bare metal, so the back of the phone — or the case on it — stays unmarked. Vertical for video calls, horizontal for video, tilted for reading: the hinge covers the useful range and stops firmly at each end.

A 360° rotating head makes it easy to turn the screen toward someone across a table without lifting the stand, and the base is weighted with a full silicone pad underneath, so it does not skate on glass or polished wood. Cable routing is built into the back of the upright, which keeps a charging lead tidy instead of dangling in front of the screen.

It is also one of those accessories that quietly covers several jobs: a bedside clock stand, a kitchen recipe holder, a desk calendar, a second screen beside a laptop for reference, or a stable mount for filming something on a table. Folded flat, it slips into a pocket, a laptop sleeve or the front pouch of a bag without making its presence felt.
